Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to accomplish my short term goals first... Once I do that, I will have an idea of what to expect long term... 44 yrs old now and since I've been injured free for 1 month I am jumping back on marathon training. Any recommendations for a good marathon in December 2021? What is your recommendation?

Personal:

Don't knock it until you try it.

Gonna make it short.....

I drove to McAllen, Texas on Saturday and hydroplane into a ditch about an hr away from Laredo, Texas see car down below

So the wrecker charged me 200.00 bucks to take it out of the ditch and tow it 10 miles into Zapata, Texas. Once that was done a friend of the family loaned me a car to continue to McAllen, Texas.

I ended getting to McAllen till 11:00 pm took a shower and woke up at 5 a.m.

Sunday:

I ran the marathon as a training run.....

ran a 2:40 it was drizzling/raining and about 53 degrees.... you can see the picture down below

Nice race! You won by like 30 minutes! Impressive to run 2:40 as a training run. Bummer on the jeep - did you at least win enough of a prize to cover the repair / towing costs?

Insurance is taking care of that....I had to pay right then and there...about 200.00 bucks got some money from the sponsor and the race....it played out good ....God was on our side that weekend....

Yes glad to see that you came out of that without any injuries! Cars can be fixed.

Hey Benny... :-) Didn't realize you were back on the blog. Congradulations on the easy win and sorry about your car, but like Jake said cars can be fixed!
